Nutrition

There is more and more evidence that a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet is the healthiest diet for humans. This means that food should be consumed in its most natural state with minimal processing. It doesn’t mean a bland diet but a well balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables (especially dark leafy greens), beans, grains, nuts and seeds. Limit animal products especially dairy, meat and poultry. Unfortunately fish has a high content of mercury and other contaminants and should be limited.

Humans are the only species who continue to consume milk after weaning. Cow’s milk is meant for calves. It has all the proper nutrients to grow a baby calf as rapidly as possible with growth hormones specific for building bulk. After weaning, humans do not need to consume any milk, especially milk intended for another animal.

Forks Over Knives has a wonderful website and app for lots of delicious and nutritious foods.
